Dr. Mary Choy is an award-winning author, educator, and board-certified pharmacist. For over 15 years, Mary has trained healthcare professionals and shared her personal strategies for success at different venues throughout the United States. She is the Director of Pharmacy Practice for the New York State Council of Health-system Pharmacists and is on the medical review board for Verywell Health. Mary has been recognized with prestigious national awards for achieving excellence in healthcare. Her award-winning book, Healthcare Heroes: The Medical Careers Guide, is referred to as “a young adult’s personal career fair.” She is also the coeditor of the textbook Pharmacology: An Introduction (McGraw Hill, 2025). She has been recognized with prestigious national awards for achieving excellence and exemplary service in healthcare: the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists – Association of Black Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP-ABHP) Joint Leadership Award, the New York City Society of Health-System Pharmacists Harold Neham Award, the ASHP Fellowship, the American Pharmacists Association Immunization Champion Award, the New York State Assembly Citation, and the New York City Council Citation. She has authored numerous articles and an award-winning book, Healthcare Heroes: The Medical Careers Guide, that features inspiring stories from 28 healthcare professionals and is referred to as “a young adult’s personal career fair.” She is also the coeditor of the textbook Pharmacology: An Introduction (McGraw Hill, 2025).
